Obituary of Evelyn Marguerite Leaman

It is with great sadness the family of Evelyn Leaman announces her passing at her residence in Burin on January 31st at the age of 78 years. Leaving to mourn daughter Lisa Moffatt (Raymond Purchase) of CBS; sons Jim Leaman (Elizabeth) of Greenwood, NS, Geoff Leaman of Hamilton, ON and John Leaman (Deborah) of Hamilton, ON; grandchildren Matthew (Leona) and Paul Leaman, Kyle (Heather) and Evan Moffatt and Amanda Leaman; great grandchildren Emma, Willow and Audrey Anne; sister Patricia (John LeMesurier); brothers Paul, Harold and Douglas Cook (Silvia). She Leaves to mourn her brothers and sister in laws of the Leaman family. Leaves to mourn her loss are her longtime friends in the community of Burin, her church family, her seniors club and her card buddies. Predeceased by parents James and Madeline Cook, husband Cyril, sister-in-law Ann Cook and nephew William Cook. Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin Tuesday, February 2nd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and Wednesday, February 3rd 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service to take place from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Ship Cove on Thursday, February 4th at 2pm with interment following at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Hodder's Point. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church or NL Epilepsy Society. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin.
