Obituary of Lydia Mary King
It is with great sadness that the family of Lydia King of Marystown announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center December 19th at the age of 71 years.
Leaving to mourn husband Elam King, US Memorial Hospital, St. Lawrence; sons John of St. John's and Rick (Mercedes) of Marystown; daughters Cindy Murphy (Ted) of AB, Alice Francis of Marystown and Ruth Platts (Martin) of BC; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters Theresa Pike (Randell) and Elizabeth Nolan; brother Ignatius Mitchell plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by son Todd, grandson Michael, parents Elizabeth and Cornelious Mitchell, great grandson Bentley; sisters Mary Slaunwhite, Christina Vaters and Annie Tobin; brother William Mitchell and niece Yvonne.
Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin Tuesday 10am to 1pm family only and 1-9pm public visitation and 10am to 9pm onWednesday .
Funeral Mass to take place from Sacred Heart RC Church, Marystown Thursday at 10:30am.
In keeping with her wishes cremation will take place.
