Obituary of Merrill Evans

It is with great sadness that the family of Merrill Evans of Burin formerly of Femme, Fortune Bay announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on May 24, at the age of 72 years.Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories Madge wife of 52 years; daughters Winnie Barnes (Brian) of ON, Shelly Humphries (Jeff) of Lawrenceton, NL and Merlynn Mullen (Craig) of ON; grandchildren Jordan, Nolan, Abigail, Kaylee, Grace and Emily; brothers Howard (Mercedes), Randell (Cathy), Reg (Norma) and Fred (Lynn); sisters Hannah Taylor, Laura Hodder (Jim), Rosie Moulton (Bill) and Jessie Power (Andy); sisters-in-law Donna Evans, Mabel (Gordon) and Joy (Albert); brother-in-law Bob plus a large circle of nieces and nephews and many other family and friends. Predeceased by parents Simeon and Winifred Evans; brother Jerry and mother and father-in-law William and Winnifred Hodder; sisters-in-law Shirley and Myrtle and brother-in-law Wilson Taylor. Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin Tuesday, 10am to 9pm. Funeral Service to take place from St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Port au Bras Wednesday at 2PM with cremation to follow.
