Obituary of Garland Simmonds

Passed away at Scarborough General Hospital on Tuesday October 15th, 2013 Garland Simmonds of Canning’s Cove in his 87th year. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 60 years Mildred, sons: Willie (Gertrude) of North Bay, ON, Lionel (Olive) of Whitby, ON, Eric (Ronda) of Scarborough, ON, and Tony (Annette) of Canning’s Cove, daughters: Gladys Wheeler (Dana) of Scarborough ON, Janet Day (John Reid) of Sprucedale, ON, Rowena LeBlanc (Robert) of Port Elgin, ON. 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sisters Alice Jane Chatman (Ralph), Barbara Pitts (Clayton) brother Lorne Simmonds plus a large circle of other family and friends. Resting at Gospel Hall Bloomfield after 7 PM on Friday Oct. 18. Visitation hours are 7 PM -9 PM Friday Oct. 18 and Saturday Oct. 19 from 9 AM -9 PM. Funeral service to take place from the Gospel Hall, Bloomfield on Sunday Oct. 20, 2013 at 2 PM with interment to follow at Gospel Hall Cemetery, Musgravetown. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Blundon’s Funeral Home – Shoal Harbour.
