Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on June 6, Gertrude Pearson of Petite Forte age 80 years. Leaving to mourn sons George (Maureen) of Petite Forte and Carl (Phyllis) of Petite Forte; daughters Madonna (Dermet) of Petite Forte, Anita (Fidelis) of Petite Forte, Sheila (Johnnie) of Petite Forte, Evelyn (Mike) of Petite Forte, Debbie (Wayne) of Petite Forte and Brenda (Joe) of Marystown; 30 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by husband Michael; son Michael Jr. and daughter Brenda; sisters Clara Brown of Grand Falls and Mary Traverse of Placentia; brothers Thomas of Petite Forte and Phil of Marystown. Resting Holy Rosary Church, Petite Forte 8PM Thursday, June 7th Funeral Mass to take place Holy Rosary Church, Petite Forte Saturday, June 9 at 2PM with interment following at RC Cemetery, Petite Forte.
