Dear Marilyn and family:
Words will never express our feelings on the loss of Burchy.
I first met my cousin, Burchy, at Nan's in Gaultois, he was 5 and I was 6 years old. We had lots of fun that day, throwing stones at the boats (not the best thing to do, but we were 2 little boys!) I also have fond memories of that day fishing with our Dads. I was blessed to have had Burchy for a cousin, he will be misssed by all of us. Cherish the good memories.
Our prayers are with you and your family.

My deepest condolences on your loss. I remember playing softball with Burch in the good old days. Burch was always a gentleman whether he won or lost. He was a true sportsman, but most of all he had honour. I haven't seen or talked to Burch in a long time but I'm sure that trait followed him all through life and I am very proud to be able to say that Burch was a friend of mine. Rest in Peace my Friend.

Marilyn and girls,
So sorry to hear of Burch's passing. I have known Burch since his younger years when we played soccer against each other (long hair days), then played on the same dart team at Skipper's Cabin, and right through to working at Fishery Products and then on the Sea Rose when it was outfitted in Marystown. The photos used in the video tribute show the type of person Burch was, always smiling and enjoying life. He was always a pleasure to be around and found a way to make the dullest of days to be bright and happy. As you go through the grieving process, take comfort in the many great memories you have of him and when you are feeling down, count on the memory of his smile to help brighten your day. As you have lost a dear husband and father, we have lost a great friend. May God Bless and Comfort You.
