One of my more fond memories of Harold is when I came back to Newfoundland by myself for a visit...I was 14 I think and he would have been 3 or 4, just a little tike, I used to listen to my music in the basement of my grandmothers house and at the time Aunt Faye, Uncle Boyd and Harold lived dowmstairs in her basement apartment. It was my first time meeting Harold and believe it or not he was shy. He eventually came around though and when I would listen to my music he would come down and listen with me, I loved his big brown eyes, they could melt your heart. He wasn't very talkative back then but when he wanted somehing he sure spoke up. I took him to the store one afternoon and boy did he let me know what he wanted, I think it was one of every little candy he could fit in his tiny hands. I will always keep that in my heart and always remeber those beautiful brown eyes, that one of a kind smile, and a personality that was one of a kind. I miss you Harold and I know that you and Nan are looking down on all of us now and keeping us safe. Lots of love your cuz Angie Gordon (Alberta girl).

Harold and I were in the same grade from grade 5 untill we went to highschool. In Jamieson Harold always had the best lead pencils (haha) the silver ones with the good grip (I can still remember his writing haha) anyhow he knew I loved using them. Anyhow one day in grade 6 we all got our math tests back and I only got a 60% and I was really upset. So during recess Harold came over and said "here mel, I got something to cheer you up, then he gave me his favorite pencil, I was so happy. Harold had such a big heart even when we were so young. Christmas time we had our secret santa, and Harold had my name he gave me this beauitful ornament of a painting and choclates, as he was bringing it over he said in a little cool voice "my mom picked it out, not me" hahaha. I will always remember Harold sitting behind me with his dark black hair partened in the middle (that was the style back then haha) talking about the cabin and what him his pop and his dad done that weekend, trikes skidoos and the outdoors! He was the typical little boy back then loved the outdoors and still did as we got older. You would never saw Callahan without Harold and vice versa. We were all so excited when we were in grade 7 because we could finally go down the road during lunch, Harold, Callahan, Justin Mayo, Ryan, Emily, Lisa, Grant, Colin Hodder, Aimee and myslef; as soon as the bell rang for lunch we were out the door to walk down to antles/bobs for lunch, we all thought we were so old and cool! haha so many good memories, anyways Harold you will always be remembered and never forgotten, you have a large circle of friends with nothing but fond memories (except that time you took my ice cream and then tried to run away and lost your balance and fell with my ice cream hahahaha soo funny) you will be greatly missed and loved, I wish I was home to say good-bye! Love Melanie xox

i cant believe that God took him so soon, he had a great life left to lead! we all loved him and will miss him greatly. me and harold always had a little joke about us being born, he was born sep, 25 and me sept 30 we were told that his mom came out of the hospital bed where he was born and my mom went in to have me! i loved him not only as a family member but as a good friend! God always takes the best and leave the worst to improve here on earth...i love you and my greatest sympathies go out to you harold...and dont worry everybody, God has his room ready up there before ours and he's looking down on all of us, with a smile so lets show him ours! x
