Obituary of Edison John Ploughman

It is with great sadness that the family of Edison John Ploughman of George’s Brook announces his passing at Bonavista Health Care Center, Bonavista, NL on January 20th at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn children: Gary Stanley (Jocelyn) of Edmonton, AB; Ivy Sceviour (Ellwood) of George’s Brook, Yvonne Pelley (Randy) of Harcourt, Michelle Hogan (Rick) of George’s Brook and Sharon Ploughman of St. John’s; 9 grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; sisters: Debbie Miller (Stan), Frances Ivany (Loyal); brothers: Vincent Ploughman and Austin Ploughman (Dulcie); brother in law Gus Parsley plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by wife Millicent, sisters: Winnie and Lily; brothers: Angus, Clements and Alex. Resting at Blundon’s Funeral Home, Shoal Harbour on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9. VISITATION HOURS FOR FRIDAY HAVE BEEN CHANGED TO 7-9 ONLY at the request of the family. Funeral service from Bethany United Church, Harcourt on Saturday at 2 PM.
