I am so sad to hear of Bernena passing. My condolences to you all. I worked with your mom for many years and she often spoke of her children & family. Bernena often traveled with me from work so I knew her as a hard working person. When she retired we sang for 21 years is a mighty long time, the song was revised to relate to Bernena & her life & work. Please know as a friend & a student assistant we are all saddened by the loss of a beautiful lady.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Bernena's passing. I worked with her for many years at Sacred Heart Academy. She certainly loved her walks with her dog as I don't think I ever drove through Lewin's Cove without seeing them both!
