With great sadness the family of Julie Wakeley announce her peaceful passing in her home in Lewin’s Cove surrounded by her husband and children after a long struggle with cancer.
Leaving to mourn devoted husband William Wakeley of 50 years, children Albert Wakeley (Phoebe) of Lewin’s Cove, Conetta Wakeley (Wally) of Marystown. Grandsons Dawson Wakeley (Claire), Kameron Wakeley and Logan Wakeley. Brothers Robert Hoben (Daphne) of Lewin’s Cove, Harry Hoben of Lewin's Cove, and Ronald Hoben of Marystown. Twin sister Judy Hoben of Lewin’s Cove, and sister Shirley Inkpen (Levi) of Lewin’s Cove.
Predeceased by parents Henry and Jessie Hoben, sister Joan Inkpen, son Billy Jr. Wakeley, and grandson Stefan Wakeley.
Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, family and friends.
Family will be receiving visitors from Serenity Funeral Home Burin from Friday December 27 11am-9pm, Saturday December 28 10am-9pm.
Funeral Service to take place from Serenity Chapel on Sunday December 29 at 2:30pm with Interment to follow at Hope United Cemetery Lewin’s Cove.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to her family.
