VERY SADDENED BY UNCLE DICK'S PASSING.
Ann & I made a point to see him & Aunt Viola when we visited Grand Bank over the years.
He had Gran's smile & some of her other gestures as well LOL! He very was kind to me after mom died when I was 12 years old. I will never forget their kindness. Uncle loved his family. His children were the apple of his eye & no doubt his grandchildren.
We have some recent pics from our last visit a couple of years ago. It was always a highlight to drop by uncle Dick's with my girls over the years. So glad I took the time to do it. It's going to be strange to drop over to his house and not see his big smile when I walk in & hear him say, "Viola, look at him. Just like he's father." He would call me Allan, saying, "look at Allan coming there..."
We love you all. Our hearts & prayers are with you. Wish we could be there to remember Uncle Dick together.

I have a story that gave Dad, Uncle Dick & a few others chuckles when we lived in GB. A certain Grand Banker’s chains saw went missing for some time. Let me just say, Uncle Dick had a hand in its mysterious disappearance & reappearance. Here is a prank dad told with delight. Maybe someone who reads this will know who I’m talking about or maybe you are that person. If so I hope you are having a laugh right now. Uncle Dick would be laughing with you.

Viola and family,
I am so sorry to learn of Len's (Dick's) passing. I knew him well when we were all growing up in Grand Bank, but hadn't seen him in several years. I have a very fond and dear memory of him from when I was about six years old and living "up the brook". I came home from school, disobeyed my mother, climbed the fence and went out on the ice on Grand Bank Brook; even though she had warned me that it was going to "riffter" at anytime. It DID "riffter"!! I ran for the fence but couldn't get back over. Dick heard my screams and came and lifted me to safety. I don't think I ever thanked him. I hope my mother did. God rest his soul in peace. You have my deepest sympathy.

Uncle Dick was a great man, he had a huge heart like all Forsey's do! I loved going to his cabin or his house and seeing his smile when walking in and aunt Viola always had treats ready. Growing up you were always there for me no matter what and I will never forget that!!
