It’s been said that God only takes the good and I can assure you he got that in Grandmother. To this day I have yet to find a woman as respected as she was. Within the church community alone, I think she impacted more lives than anyone may realize. She gave her all to God as well as others, especially the “young people” as she liked to call them. If you ever visited her house there’s two things you could always guarantee you would leave with; a full stomach and money in your pocket. Even as an adult with a job, you never once let me leave your house without sliding “a bit of money” in my pocket. She loved her family dearly and will be sadly missed. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
