Mom was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister in law, aunt and friend to many! Her family and friends were very dear to her and there was always a cup of tea and lunch when visiting! Mom had a passion for quilting, sewing, knitting and cross- stitching. Over the past 12 months she did a lot of stitching and knitting but due to her health issues she was unable to go down to her sewing room. She made hundreds of quilts over the years and each and every one was created with much love and expertise! She loved dancing and over the years was involved in line dancing, and up to her illness, a member of the Grand Bank -Fortune Square Dancers! She often said she couldn't wait to get back to dancing! Mom was a member of Bridges Employment Corporation and served so many years as President. She was also active in the Grand Bank / Fortune Food Bank! Mom's faith was amazing and throughout her whole ordeal she never lost her faith! She was very active in her church and was a member of the choir for many years! Mom's faith has never faltered! Although she has been waiting 12 months to get her heart surgery, she never complained! She always said, "There's someone who needs it more than me" or " When God is ready for me he'll take me!" And although she may have been ready long before now, her faith was proven to be true! God called her home when he saw she had enough and he was ready for her!
She will be forever loved, missed, and remembered by all who knew and loved her!
"A mother's love is a blessing" and we were truly blessed to call you Mom!
