It is with much love and sadness that the family of Martin William Fitzpatrick of Lord's Cove at the age of 90 years announce his peaceful passing at US Memorial Hospital, St. Lawrence on Wednesday December 15th, 2022 .
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Susan of 66 years; his children Leonard (Linda), Ralph (wife Noela Predeceased), Cecil, Gregory (Kathy), Rodney (Christine), Keith (Elsie), Regina (Thomas predeceased), Perry (Donna), Terrence, Michelle (Jamie), Mercedes (predeceased) and Randy; 24 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and sister Mary, plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Martin was born and raised in Lord’s Cove and married the true love of his life Susan. His devotion to his family was unyielding, his virtues of gentleness, kindness and loving will always be remembered. He was a true family man, and they loved him for his fun-loving ways of playfulness. Despite his strong work ethic family came first and always would make sure there was time for Sunday Family dinners, and trail rides into the cabin. Martin was always busy working with his hands whether it was fixing something around his land or out lending a helping hand. He wore such a happy smile, had an amazing sense of humor, loved playing fun practical jokes and had such a sharp wit. He and Susan truly enjoyed having family and friends drop in, with music and friends where Martin would enjoy telling stories to everyone. All children and grandchildren had a special place in his heart.
In keeping with Martin's wishes cremation has taken place.
Family welcomes visitors at his residence in Lord's Cove starting on Saturday, everyone welcome.
