Obituary of David Anthony Cousins

It is with great sadness that we, the family, of David Anthony Cousins would like to announce his passing on June 14, 2023 at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.

David was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Marion Cousins; his brothers, Karl and Tony; sister, Joyce Walsh; nephew, Andy Walsh; brother-in-law, Charles Walsh; his buddy, Aubrey Matterface; and sister-in-law, Olive Cousins.

Left to mourn, his daughter, Ashley Snook; granddaughter, Kyla Belle Glanfield; brothers, Donald (Carol), Howard, Chris (Valene); sisters, Doris Matterface, Sandra Slaney (Isaac), Jane Rideout (Tony), Cindy (Sheldon Walsh); sisters-in-law, Mabel Cousins, Muriel Cousins; his niece, Gayle Bolt with who he had a special bond, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and cousins. His friends, Julian Snook and Huey Hardy. Thank you both for your gift of friendship to David.

Everyone who knew David will remember him for his wit and simple attitude about life. He has left all who knew and loved him with a story or experience that reminds them life is what you make it, enjoy the ride and treat others as you yourself want to be treated. Don’t stress the small stuff, deal with what you cannot change and be happy. He was a small man with a big heart.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral service but a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family asks if anyone would like to say a prayer for David’s safe passage to rejoin his family in his heavenly passage at home to do so. Godspeed David. You will be missed by many who knew and loved you.
