Obituary of Effie Grace (Frampton) Dicks
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Effie" Grace" Dicks (nee Frampton) of Port Elizabeth, NL announce her passing at the Blue Crest Interfaith Home, Grand Bank on June 28, 2023 at the age of 90 years.
Grace leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Chesley (Carol), Edgar (Cheryl), Lillian (Lorne); grandchildren, William, David, Angela, Ashley (Chris), Ryan, Jessie (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Tiffiny, Gloria Grace, Willow, Suzana May, Mayze Grace and Maddoc; sister-in-law, Sylvia.Brother in law Cecil (Evelyn) plus a large circle of family and friends.
Grace is predeceased by her husband, Edgar " Raymond" Dicks; son, Tony; parents, Thomas Sidney and Suzie May Paddle; brothers, Gordon, Arthur (Beatrice), Jack (Amelia), Sidney (Laura), Chesley (Bessie); sisters, Sybil (Walter), Louisa (William).
Grace was a devoted and loving wife to Edgar "Raymond" Dicks for 67 years, They lived on Port Elizabeth and welcomed three sons there. In 1960 the family relocated to Toronto, Ontario, Where they welcomes their daughter Lillian and raised their family.Grace and Ray always opened their home in Ontario to the many Newfoundlanders that travelled to the area and always loved to cook a meal for them. They also enjoyed life at their cottage in Bobcaygeon, Ontario. But home was where the heart was, so in 1988 they returned to Newfoundland and settled in Red Harbour. Grace had an unwavering faith that gave her tremendous strength. She was a dedicated volunteer in her church families as long as she was able .Grace was a caring and proud mother, Grandmother, And Great Grandmother who was dearly loved by all that had the privilege to have known her and will be forever missed by her family and friends.
