Leo was an avid sports fan. His greatest passion in life was hockey. From the time he laced up his first pair of skates on the outdoor rink in East point, Catalina, to the Cabot Stadium in Bonavista, onward to the ponds in Burin and finally to the Marystown arena where he played and volunteered his time to the Senior, Recreational and Minor Hockey Leagues. Whether he was cheering for his favorite team or lacing up his own skates, hockey brought him immense joy.
