Obituary of Elizabeth Frances Power
It is with great sadness the family of Elizabeth Power of Frenchman’s Cove announce her peaceful passing at Winnipeg Manitoba on May 13, 2024 at the age of 56 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her siblings, Yvonne Keeping (Lyman) Garnish, NL, Emily Moulton Frenchman’s Cove NL, Sarah Walters (Tim) Garnish NL, Helen Power (Gary Noftall) Grand Bank NL, Owen Power (Tammy) Garnish NL, Patrick Power (Alicia) Neepawa MB, Bill Power (Jackie) Neepawa MB, Ida Power Frenchman’s Cove, NL, sister-in-law Brenda Power Marystown NL, brother-in-law Merrill Tibbo plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Predeceased by parents, Ida & Patrick Power; brother, Jim Power; sister Bernadette Tibbo, nephews Drew Keeping, Jaxyn Price, partner Bruce Burt.
In keeping with Elizabeth wishes cremation has taken place.
Elizabeth Frances Power born in Grand bank and grew up in Frenchman’s Cove, went to MUN and graduated May 1995. She was a daughter, sister, aunt & friend to many. She was dedicated and hardworking student which led to her becoming a great teacher.
Elizabeth had 8 nieces & 11 nephews who she loved and adored. She was always there to help and let us know the sky is the limit. We could be whatever we want & to strive hard for our goals.
From the very beginning her faith was strong & she strived to impact others in the church. She joined the Catholic women’s league for God & Canada in Neepawa MB, and continue her journey in helping others discovery their faith.
She was a strong woman despite all her medical issues and challenges and an inspiration to others who faced similar challenges.
She was loved and will sadly be missed.
Family will be receiving friends at St. Joan of Arc RC Church Frenchman's Cove on Sunday June 23, 2024 starting at 2PM and all day Monday June 24, 2024.
Funeral Mass for Elizabeth will take place from St. Joan of Arc RC Church Frenchman’s Cove on Tuesday June 25, 2024 at 2PM with inurnment following at St. Joan of Arc RC cemetery.
