My heart broke when I was told the 2 little precious boys I became attached to the first 3 years of their lives....5 days or nights a week visiting them..having one over week ends...as a non relative just a friend who fell in love with them...
Were being adopted together into a fine caring home with a wonderful couple...I was torn.
But I soon doscovred the caring, loving woman and mother adored these boys as much as I did.
My heart relaxed. Rowena and I kept in touch all those first 20 years. I thank God the boys were choosen for her.
Keeping the family in my prayers.

Thinking back to my childhood, I believe Rowena was my first ever friend. She was so kind, sincere, and had a way of making people feel protected. We had so many giggling fits together. I wish we had been able to spend more time together.

Emily, Val, Austin, Eric and all the family, I send my sincerest condolences on the sad and shocking news of Rowena’s passing. Rowena was indeed a lovely lady who had a constant smile. She was Danielle’s very first babysitter and in addition to taking very good care of her, she spoiled us with her delicious cooking and baking.
I’m sure Ern and her other Angels were there to welcome her with open arms into Heaven’s gates. I pray your precious memories, faith and knowing she is no longer in pain, will bring you comfort in the days ahead. Rest In Peace Rowena.

We were saddened to hear of Rowena’s passing.
met Rowena when she joined kinettes many years ago. We worked several projects together and enjoyed many laughs and nights of fun together. During her time there I watched her go from a shy individual to becoming president of our club and blossoming into a leader. I will always think fondly of her.

So deeply sadden to have read of Rowena’s passing. She was one our school group ( 8 or 9 ) of which we went to school from our early days right to last days of high school. She was always the soft spoken one and although we never knew it at the time probably the most caring of the group. Life can be short and I’m sure from the messages I’ve read you were one to let people know exactly that. RIP my school days friend … heaven has gained a blessed soul
