Obituary of Levi Oliver Moulton
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Levi Oliver Moulton of Garnish at the age of 92 on Thursday July 18, 2024 Oliver was a remarkable man who lived a life filled with strength and resilience. He departed this world at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Oliver is predeceased by his loving wife Ada, son Donald, parents: Levi and Leah Moulton, brother Edgar, sister Eliza, and several other beloved in-laws. He will be forever admired and sadly missed by his daughter Joan (Glenn) Luther his grandchildren: Mark (Kimberley), Thomas (Ann) and Andrew (Bridget), great grandchildren: Luke and Lane, brothers: Randell, Thomas (Verna), Jerry (Frances) and Wallace, sisters: Joan Banfield, Doreen (Keith) Bolt, Wanda (Victor) May, daughter-in-law (Mary) and a large circle of other family and friends.
Oliver worked at many jobs throughout his career, until he faced a turning point in life, when an accident left him paralyzed. With immense determination and the unwavering support of Ada, he adapted to his physical limitations and inspired many who crossed his path. He enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, hunting, playing the accordion, singing and woodworking. He was a member of the United Church Men’s Service Club for many years, and he frequently sang and played the accordion at church services and at care homes.
Oliver’s memory will forever remain a source of inspiration and strength for all who knew him.
Oliver’s family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff at US Memorial Health Centre where he resided since 2017 and more recently at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.
Visitation is being held on Sunday July 21, 2024 from 2-4PM at the United Church, Garnish.
Funeral services will take place at Garnish United Church on Monday July 22, 2024 at 10AM with interment following at the United Church Cemetery, Garnish.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Garnish United Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
