Mike was a kind and gentle man who would help anyone. He settled down in Petite Forte with the love of his life, Evelyn. There they were married on September 15th, 1979 and raised their two sons, Michael and Stephen. He began his time as a fisherman when he moved to Petite Forte, even building his own boat. His love of the water continued through the years, sharing fishing trips with many friends, his wife and two sons. He was a Jack of all trades, teaching his sons many of those skills. He enjoyed the outdoors, berry picking, cutting wood, hunting, telling stories and tapping his foot playing a tune on the accordion.
His greatest blessings were his 4 grandsons. Being around them always put a smile on his face and he loved sharing his favourite things with them especially making memories doing things outdoors. He had all the patience in the world and loved to carry on with them-always telling a joke and making them laugh. He was a devoted family man who put his family first, right to the very end as he continued fighting for them.
In the hearts of those who loved you, you will always be there.
In keeping with Mike's wishes cremation has taken place.
