Obituary of Maureen Elizabeth Harvey

It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Maureen Harvey announce her passing on Sunday August 4, 2024 at Dr. S.Beckley Health Center.

Maureen leaves with a lifetime of beautiful memories her best friend and partner Allister of 33 years, son Thomas Toronto ON, daughter Heather (George) Grand Bank, her precious grandchildren Anthony, Aubrey, Braelyn and Sienna and a large circle of other family and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Martin and Sarah Doherty.

Maureen Harvey grew up in Toronto Ontario where she met the love of her life, Allister. They bought a home and made a wonderful life together with their two children, Heather, and Thomas. Her and her husband decided it was time for a change, and moved to Newfoundland, where she loved walking on the beaches, enjoying country life and spending time with her family and friends. Maureen home was everyone's home. She loved having her family & friends over for gatherings. She was always the life of the party. She lived for her family, worked hard all her life, and was a kind and caring person to all those that she met. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her. 

Family will be receiving friends at Serenity Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Tuesday August 6, 2024 and Wednesday August 7, 2024 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday August 8, 2024 at 2:30PM from Serenity Funeral Home Grand Bank following the service in keeping with Maureen wishes cremation will take place.
