It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the peaceful passing of Randy Joseph Fitzpatrick at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Wednesday October 23rd, 2024, at the young age of 49.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife Helen, daughters Cathy (Francis), Christa (Terry), Connie (Bob), Grandchildren Tristan, Matthew, Michaella, Terrance, Cameron, William, Jennifer, Great Grandchildren Emilia, Noralie, Stella, Matilda, parents Loyola and Blanche,Grandmother Louise Fitzpatrick. sisters Daphne (Chris), Melissa (Ian), nieces and nephews Joshua, Allison, Tiffany, Hunter, Trevor and a large extended circle of family and friends.

Predeceased by his brother Stephen Fitzpatrick, grandfather Loyola Fitzpatrick Sr, grandparents William (Will John) and Edna Slaney, mother-in-law, father-in-law Verna and Albert Brown.

Randy was a devoted and loving husband; Helen was his ray of sunshine.  He was a hard-working man who had one of the biggest hearts that we have ever seen.  He was the kindest man, who always put others before himself and was there to help whenever anyone needed it.  He had a deep love for the open sea and fishing was his passion.  He spent many years fishing with his dad and mom, and he was never happier then when he was steaming out over the horizon with the sun glistening on the water as it rose.  He would often say I am in my happy place now.  When he wasn’t fishing, he and Helen could be found at their cabin in Main Brook where they created many fond and cherished memories.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, singing and playing his guitar, The Little Boats of Newfoundland was one of his favorite tunes. The more family and friends around the bigger his smile got.  He loved his girls, grandchildren (pop), great grandchildren (pop pop), nieces, and nephews (Uncle Bub) beyond measure; especially “Pop’s Boys” Tristan and Matthew who had a special place in his heart.  He will be forever loved and missed.
