Phyllis, my sincere condolences to you and your family. I have a memory of Leroy from way back. We played rec hockey together in Marystown, think early 70’s. He was goalie but wanted to play out so he offered me his goalie equipment if I’d play goal. I still have the catching mitt hung up in my shed in St Anthony and I tell the story from time to time. Take care, Jack Rowe

Phyllis we are so sorry for your loss and condolence to the family.
I remember a football game in Burin between Burin and Epworth. We were all young strong teenagers. Leroy was playing defence. He was a sturdy young man and introduced me to the ground a couple of times. Ever the gentleman, though, he helped me up each time.

So very sorry to hear of uncle Leroy s passing. He was such a kind gentle soul so full of wisdom. He was a joy to be around. The last time we had a visit to Epworth he was so kind offering to get Blair from memorial to come out for a weekend visit. He certainly oozed his strong character and warm soul
Thinking of everyone during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed. Surrounding you all in hugs
