To Eileen and family so sorry to hear of Roy’s passing. I sailed with Roy for many years, we travelled back and forth together for many years, we had many laughs and many of good times. Rip my buddy we shell meet again.

I sailed with Roy on the Coast Guard Ship John Cabot in the late 70’s and will always have fond memories of those times. Our condolences to the Pardy family. Take care.

To Roy’s family , l can only tell you how sorry l am for you all in losing such a wonderful man . I have also lost my dearest friend. Roy worked for me for approximately 8 years until shortly before he got sick. His coveralls are still hanging in my garage and will remain there as long as l own the garage. That man, though going through his struggle with his sickness, was at that garage every morning ahead of me and had everything ready when i got there. He knew when l was troubled and always had a way of taking away my worries and troubles with his quick wit and humour. He was so talented in fabrication and everything he did. He knew where everything was in my garage even things I put and forgot where l put them. We would take turns in being the boss from day to day. We would throw everything down sometimes and take off to Marystown for coffee. He was always so pleasant to work with. He (for that 8 years )brought my dinner from his very kind wife ,Eileen. Vanessa would bring me Tim Hortens .Darrell did Welding work for me . For all they did ,there was no charge. I asked Roy to drive the dump truck one time and he said to Me “I never drove one in my life “. I said you can do it because l believed In him. I showed him what the levers were for and he drove that truck for a week or more until we finished the job. He never had so much as a flat tire. When he got finished with the truck,l said it’s excavator time. He loved it. My dear friend Roy,I will miss you every time I walk into our garage , but as long as l see your coveralls there , l know you are there with me . God has a home for you. When it comes my time , please don’t me pay on the door unless you take visa. I love you buddy and Rest In Peace. I will always keep in touch with your family. I want all your family to hear it from me, that you were and still is the true example of who a human being should be. God bless all your family. Don’t be sad but be proud that you had such a good husband,father, grand father and “ friend” in your lives,,,,,, Frankie
