Obituary of Roy Stanley Pardy

It is with great sadness the family of  Roy Stanley Pardy of Harbour Mille announce his passing on August 5th, 2022 at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center at the age of 66 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 45 years Eileen; daughter Vanessa (Bradley Pike) of Harbour Mille, NL; son Darrell Pardy (Stephanie) of Fort McMurray, AB; ; 4 grandchildren Megan Pike, Ryan Pike, Emma Pardy and Lilly Pardy; brothers Harold Pardy (Evelyn); nephew Jeffrey Whittle; close friends Debbie Simpson & family, Frankie Hodder and Edgar Lloyd Pardy plus a large circle of other family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Sidney and Marion Pardy.

Roy was a family man he was married to his love of his life Eileen for 45 years, he had two passions in life: the outdoors and his family. Whether he was cutting wood, quadding or snowmobiling he was happiest with his friends and being outside in the woods. That continued into his adult life and expanded to include hunting and fishing. He loved his work as a engineer on the coast guard boats where he worked for 32 years, which gave him the opportunity to work in many places and meet a lot of people, creating many good friends along the way. His family was his reason for being. He nurtured, loved and supported his family in all that they did and found ways to enhance their lives whenever and wherever he could. Roy loved his grandchildren with all that he had and showed that love by his support of their endeavours. 

In keeping with Roy's wishes cremation will take place.

Funeral Service to take place from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Thursday, August 11th from 2PM with inurnment following at  St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Mille.

Donations in his memory may be made to St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Mille.
